1. No Personal Data Collection
SC Venture Labs is committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed to be a local-only tool.
- No User Accounts: We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any personal identification to use the App.
- No Patient Data: The App does not collect, store, or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA. Users are strictly prohibited from entering patient-identifiable information into the App.
- No Cloud Storage: All timing logs and event data are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your saved logs or session history.
2. No Third-Party Tracking
- We do not use third-party tracking tools (like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel) within the App.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade any information about your usage of the App to third parties.
3. Device Permissions
To function correctly, the App may request the following permissions:
- Notifications: To provide audible or haptic alerts for timer intervals.
- Wake Lock: To prevent the device screen from dimming or locking during an active resuscitation event.
- Haptics/Vibration: To provide physical feedback during noisy clinical environments.
- Local Storage: To save your event logs and configuration settings locally on your device.
4. Technical Logs — App Stores
When you download the App, the Apple App Store or Google Play Store may collect basic telemetry (e.g., device model, OS version, crash reports). This data is governed by the respective store's privacy policy. We only see anonymized, aggregated data provided by those platforms to improve App stability.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for use only by licensed healthcare professionals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and will be updated within the App.
